Teqtix Phenolic Foam
Fireproof insulation for the future.

Why you need Phenolic Foam instead of what you’re used to
Rhinophen and Firephen phenolic foam products surpass every common insulation product out there. In what? Low toxicity and density of smoke, good fire resistance and closed cell content combined with good thermal insulation values. Let us tell you all about it.
The Teqtix Phenolic Foam products are succesfully tested and classified on fire behaviour in accordance to the EN13501-1 and ASTM C84. Fire resistance tests give you a clearer picture of the total performance of materials and constructions during a fire.
Most casualties in a fire are caused by smoke in the room. Not only due to the toxicity of the smoke, but also because of people can no longer see emergency exits. Our products barely smoke. Especially compared to PUR and EPS.
Many of the longer existing insulation materials use still standing air as their main insulator. However, still standing air limits other insulation products to meet thermal conductivity better than 0,030 W/mK. The lower the number, the better the thermal resistance of the construction.
About insulation numbers
Thermal Insulation is measured by its thermal conductivity. In the metric system that’s given as W/mK. The thermal resistance of a construction is calculated by dividing the thickness (in meters) by the thermal conductivity. Here comes an important fact: the lower the thermal conductivity at given thickness, the higher thermal resistance there is.
